IMS POLICY

INTEGRATED MANAGEMENT SYSTEM POLICY

ELMAFE’s Management, conscious of the strategic relevance of its stakeholders, has established its Policy of Integrated Management System (IMS) based on the following principles:

  • Compliance with the applicable legal requirements and others that the company subscribes to as well as international standards, namely ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001;
  • Continuous improvement of manufactured products, services provided and the effectiveness of the implemented IMS, which is periodically reviewed;
  • Inclusion of the commitment to fulfil the objectives defined in the IMS;
  • Adequacy of products and services to the markets circumstances, providing a varied range that corresponds to the needs and specifications of the customer, thus guaranteeing their satisfaction;
  • Acquisition of the best available technologies in order to reduce labour costs, waste production, as well as, increase the quality of the manufactured product;
  • Optimization of available resources and technologies, such as the use of the best planning practices, in order to continuously identify and reduce costs, manufacturing times and delivery times;
  • Constantly improve the knowledge of the workforce through awareness, training and information;
  • Increased employee involvement in the IMS, measurements and monitoring, inquiries and use of collective and individual protection equipments in order to prevent and reduce the occurrence of occupational accidents when it’s not possible to eliminate the risk;
  • Promotion of actions, through risk assessment, to continuously improve the health and safety conditions at work, in order to prevent injuries and damages to health;
  • Implement the continuous improvement of environmental performance through the identification and control of environmental aspects associated with the activities and products of companies, in order to eliminate or minimize environmental impacts, and thus prevent pollution;
  • Commitment to protect the environment through the management of environmental aspects with strategic and competitive implications, such as energy, water, natural resources and waste production, seeking whenever possible its reduction.
