As the market evolves, we continuously broaden our range of technical services to meet our clients’ needs, particularly in:
Self-supporting towers are used as a support for meteorological equipment and telecommunications infrastructure. Their main advantage is the smaller ground footprint at the installation site.
They are lattice steel structures, usually with a triangular section, made up of several bolted sections whose dimensions vary according to the project brief.
The steel sections are protected against corrosion through hot-dip galvanising, which ensures strong durability and resistance even in environments exposed to aggressive corrosion.
Guyed towers are lattice steel structures with a triangular section, normally constant along their full height, stabilised laterally by steel cables (guy wires) anchored to the ground
They are characterised by a more slender profile and are made up of modules of roughly 3 metres bolted together.
The specifications of each module are defined according to the tower’s final height and purpose.
As with our other structures, the steel sections receive hot-dip galvanising treatment, delivering strong corrosion resistance and long service life.
Monopoles are structures used to support technical equipment. They are known for their low visual impact and minimal ground footprint
They are made up of sections manufactured from longitudinally welded steel plate, with sections joined together by slip-fit connections.
For shorter poles, sections made of bolted steel tubing can also be used to form the structure.
To meet client needs, ELMAFE has specialised in the installation and certification of fall- arrest systems, including vertical and horizontal lifelines, protecting users across different types of structures and surfaces.
This type of equipment is classified as collective protection and is designed to prevent falls from height for one or more users at the same time.
Systems are custom-engineered in line with current European standards and the technical specifications of each manufacturer.
We offer vertical and horizontal lifelines, either permanent or temporary, to which personal fall-arrest equipment is connected: automatic self-retracting lifelines, karabiners, harnesses and ropes.
For each project we define the most appropriate technical solution based on the characteristics and requirements of the infrastructure.
ELMAFE is certified to install and maintain fall-arrest systems.
Through qualified technical teams, we deliver specialist work across different operational environments, with a strong focus on quality, safety and reliability.
These services include the installation and maintenance of different protection elements, in particular lightning protection systems.
Lightning protection
Within lightning protection, ELMAFE offers a range of solutions adapted to the needs of each installation.
These systems are designed to capture lightning strikes and channel the current safely down to the earthing system through metal conductors installed at the highest points of the structure.
Available solutions include:
Franklin rods
The air terminal consists of one or more pointed metal rods fixed to a base. A metal conductor connected to the base channels the electrical current down to the earthing system
Franklin rods are commonly used on chimneys, towers and other structures where the protected area corresponds to the protection cone defined by the height of the air terminal.
Early Streamer Emission (ionising) lightning rods
Ionising lightning rods use ionisation technology to anticipate the formation of a lightning strike and create a preferential path to channel the current down to the earthing system.
This type of system extends the protection area of the structure and is specified according to the characteristics of the installation and the technical requirements of each project.
Precision metalwork
We operate a range of industrial processes that allow us to develop and produce metal and structural components with a high level of technical precision, from prototyping through to serial production.

Structural and civil metalwork
Construction, repair and assembly of steel structures, window frames and other non- structural metal elements.
This includes the manufacture and assembly of components in carbon steel, stainless steel or aluminium, adapted to the specific needs of each project.
Stainless-steel work
To meet specific project requirements, ELMAFE also offers stainless-steel services: from manufacturing through to repair and welding.
Stainless steel is an alloy of iron and chromium, offering strong corrosion resistance, durability and reliable performance across a wide range of industrial applications.
