At ELMAFE we work together with our Clients in order to find the best solution and streamline the selection process within our range of offer – Self-Supporting Towers, Guyed Towers or Masts.
Self-Supporting Towers built by ELMAFE are designed and adjusted to the needs of the Client’s project. We provide a turnkey project solution, from the start of a massive formwork to the installation of an entire communications system. In addition to the elimination of guy wires and, as a result, the lower occupation of the ground space, another great advantage that we highlight in the Self-supported metal lattice towers is the high torsional rigidity.
Guyed Towers are one of the most relevant elements of ELMAFE’s portfolio, and are suitable solutions for various Telecommunications sectors needs and uses. They also assume a key role in the first phase of study at Wind Parks. The main advantages of Guyed Towers are the lower cost for the Client as well as their assembly time
Masts are within the typology of infrastructures provided by ELMAFE. This type of structure is more simplified and can mean a cost benefit because of its simplified characteristics. These are generally the recommended choice for Clients who need a structure with reduced height, to place only one equipment (for example, lighting, lightning rods, among others). This structure can also be adapted, if Client needs a larger structure. It is possible to carry out its stabilization through the placement of guy wires.
LIFELINES ARE AN ELMAFE REFERENCE SERVICE
To meet our Clients needs, ELMAFE specialized in the installation and certification of fall protection systems (vertical and horizontal lifelines) to guarantee the protection of the user in any structure or surface.
This equipment is defined as collective protection equipment and allows to prevent falls from the height of one or more users simultaneously. The systems can be designed in a completely personalized way taking into account the European standards in force and specifications of the brand.
ELMAFE services offers vertical or horizontal lifelines, fixed or temporary, to which individual fall protection equipment is anchored, from automatic blockers to carabiners, straps and ropes.
In each project, we adapt the best technical solution according to its characteristics and requirements.
ELMAFE is certified for installation and maintenance by some brands.
Regarding protection against lightning strikes, ELMAFE offers a wide range of solutions that meet the needs of the Client. However, the systems themselves have a similar functionality that allows them to “pick up” the rays and conduct them to the earth through a “tip” or sharp metallic conductor which, due to its elevated location, facilitates the capture and lightning of the atmosphere.

Franklin type Lightning Rod
The captor consists of one or more pointed metal rods, generally iridiated, fixed to a base, where the metallic conductor whose end is connected to earth is attached. The installation of this type of protection with common captors is used in chimneys, towers and where the areas are not larger than the base of the protection cone.
Ionizing Lightning Rod
The need of high towers for the placement of conventional Franklin Lightning Rods and also the inconvenience that this means from cost and aesthetics perspectives took to the selection of a sensor device called Ionizing Lightning Rod. It offers the advantage of excluding the installation of larger towers and also covers a protection area considerably larger than Franklin Lightning Rods.

Due to the requirements and specification of some projects and Clients, ELMAFE included in its range of work stainless steel, ranging from the manufacture, repair and welding of structures.
